WHAT IS A GROUP PURCHASING ORGANIZATION (GPO)?

A group purchasing organization (GPO) is an entity that is created to leverage the purchasing power of a group of business to obtain discounted, preferred pricing from vendors based on the collective buying power of all the GPO members.

IS THERE A COST TO JOIN?

There is no fee whatsoever. The more businesses that join, the more leverage Consolidus has to lower pricing for all members!

HOW MUCH CAN I EXPECT TO SAVE?

For most of Consolidus’ categories, you will have an opportunity to receive a savings summary analysis comparing what you have been paying to what you will be paying for given products or services. For other categories, we inform you of what the average savings have been from previous companies signing up under the same contracts that most closely match your business’ size and scope of spend.

DO I EVEN QUALIFY FOR MEMBERSHIP?

Yes. Consolidus welcomes companies big and small, for-profit and not-for-profit. We also welcome government and municipality organizations.

WHAT KINDS OF PRODUCTS AND SERVICES ARE AVAILABLE, AND HOW DO I ACCESS THESE CONTRACTS/DISCOUNTS?

Once you have registered and spoken with a Consolidus agent, you will be given login credentials which will allow you to see all of Consolidus’ preferred vendors. Once there, all you have to do is click on the supply or service vendor wanted, and follow the simple instructions to start ordering!

DO I HAVE TO USE ANY PARTICULAR VENDOR OR SPEND AT A CERTAIN LEVEL?

No. There is no obligation to use any particular vendor or to spend any minimum amount with any given vendor. It’s entirely up to you how much or how little you use Consolidus as a resource.

WHAT IF I AM ALREADY USING ONE OF THE VENDORS INCLUDED?

No problem! You can continue your relationship with the vendor while enjoying the savings from purchasing through our contracted pricing.

HOW CAN YOU AFFORD NOT TO CHARGE MEMBERS A FEE? WHAT’S THE CATCH?

Our vendors generally pay us a fee based on the total spend that we place with them through member purchases. In fact, we believe so strongly in transparency that we disclose exactly how much we earn on the contracts you utilize with Consolidus with every reporting statement and in our customer login portal.

WHAT DIFFERENTIATES CONSOLIDUS FROM OTHER GROUP PURCHASING ORGANIZATIONS?

First and foremost, we built this company to deliver much needed buying power to the companies and organizations who need it most; the small to medium businesses in America; companies who operate in industries with no attractive or compelling GPO presence, or companies too small to be of interest to a traditional GPO.

Second, we stand by our transparency – both in our vendor contracts and in our own compensation. You will see exactly what you are paying as compared to what you are saving for the goods and services you purchase through Consolidus contracts.

WHAT ARE YOUR EXPECTATIONS OF ME AS A MEMBER?

Our only requirement for membership is confidentiality. We have worked very hard to develop our preferred vendor relationships, and need to protect our trade secrets and contractual terms. As a result, in order to become a member, you are required to sign a confidentiality agreement stating that you will not share any pricing with other companies, or use it to procure better pricing on your own with other vendors.

You are free to cancel at any time. Simply send us a request in writing to info@consolidusgpo.com. Unfortunately, you will lose access to our pricing and contracts.

CAN WE JOIN ANOTHER CONSORTIUM, CO-OP OR GPO?

Absolutely, although we wouldn’t recommend it!
